I had an epiphany sometime last week.
I realized I was the only one holding back my happiness.
I was making myself somewhat miserable about my lot in life. No job, my efforts to publish my book have stalled for the moment, certainly no significant other.
But I realized that the key to happiness is to just be happy.
And I have plenty to be happy about.
So I've been living everyday since my epiphany with that thought. I'm feeling more at peace with my place in life and in the world. Sure things might look a little bleak today but they'll pick up soon. I have to keep believing that.
One of the good things is all of you on here! I really appreciate all of you.
I've uploaded a new story called The Crossroads. It is a birthday gift for my friend
majorkerina and I hope everyone reads the stories that she writes. There are links in the story description of The Crossroads. She is an amazing writer and a fantastic person.
In other news I'm addicted to some games on my phone.
Here are three of them:
Final Fantasy Record Keeper
Have you ever wanted to play a game with all of your Final Fantasy favorites in pixel form? And play through the stories of all of the FF games and collect all kinds of things and use awesome special moves? It is fair amount of leveling you can do for both the characters and weapons and armor. If you like that stuff...well this is the game for you!
Fire Emblem Heroes
If you like tactics games then you already know Fire Emblem is one of the best. But this game might be so fun it should be illegal due to the time you might waste just exploring how best to use which characters in which situations and how best to level up your teams. Seriously, I lose all track of time when playing this one. But dang it, the thing is fun so why not play? Maybe I should just cut back a little...
Magium
If you like fantasy then you have to play this game. It's a text based adventure, and it sweeps you right up. There's not really anything that new about it. But with fun characters going on interesting adventures you'll just get caught up in the story. The best recommendation I can give it is this: I want to keep reading it because I want to find out what happens next to the characters. What are you waiting for?! Get to playing this game!
Speaking of fantasy stuff...if you are looking for a great podcast check out Hello From the Magic Tavern. It's all about this guy Arnie who fell into a portal behind a Burger King which sent him to a magical land called Foon. There, using a WiFi signal from the Burger King, Arnie does a weekly podcast with his co-hosts Chunt a shapeshifting talking badger and Usidor the Blue Wizard. You'll be bingeing it in no time! Here's the link for it:
